Home Page - About the FDRC

The F.D.R.C. was formed in 1980 and has progressed from very small beginnings to the well established Club it is today. We pride ourselves on being a friendly Club and if you our Members come along to the events we organise, either to take part or to help you will soon make friends among the other Members.galloping horse

We have a Club Newsletter whichis published every other month and is a very useful source of Club information. It is traditionally posted to members but now it is available in email format or on the website - see Club Newsletters page.

The F.D.R.C. run a varied programme of events including Shows, Clinics, Lessons (individual or group) & Fun events for you & your horse or pony. On the social side there are Outings, Talks, Social Get-togethers. We also compete in Inter-Club Team Competitions in Dressage, Show Jumping , Horse Trials, Quadrille and most recently Endurance Riding & Trec. Our ridden teams have, over the years, competed at Wembley, White City , Kent County, Hickstead & Olympia. So as you can see there is a lot of scope for enjoyment for yourself & your mount.

The BHS Riding Clubs are divided into areas and The Faversham & District come under Area 10. We are based in and around Faversham and have members from a wide area of East Kent. We are always happy to welcome new Members. If you would like to join the FDRC please go to the Membership page & download the Membership form.

If you would like to learn more about the benefits of joining an affilliated riding club and about the riding clubs movement in general, please downlaoad the BRC Leaflet

NEW for 2008 for FDRC Members- The Active Member Award
The Committee of FDRC are pleased to have the opportunity to introduce a new Award Scheme this year.
Many thanks to Bayford Meadows Go-Karting who have kindly bayford gokarting logo & linkagreed to sponsor this new points championship to encourage  members to take part in all types of activities connected to FDRC or BRC.

The long and short of it is, the more YOU the members do, the more points YOU accumulate. The member with the most points at the end of the year will be presented at the AGM in the New Year, with an armful of goodies; free FDRC Membership for 2009 and the '2008 ACTIVE MEMBER TROPHY'. Not bad for doing something you enjoy!!

So Lets Get Active! And each time you enter a Class at one of our Shows or represent FDRC within a team at a Riding Club event, you get  points; attend one of our training sessions/clinics, you get  points; or even help to set up, run or clear away a FDRC event or show, you get points! Its as simple as that!  The points are scaled so if you organise an event you get mega points, but if you just enter a class at a show you get less points.  Even your ‘partners’ can earn points on your behalf.

If you would like to take part in this competition, then please contact Liz
Please note you must be an FDRC Member to participate.
